Ellen Abrams King, cir. 1992

Inspired primarily by the colors of our earth and atmosphere, dance and intuitive movement, spirituality and Jewish diaspora, and compassion for all beings; Ellen works to create art as a means of inspiring abundant healing and vitality. Through the practice of art making, and even in the process of art consumption, we can open up a place within ourselves to release our world of its pain. In this process of art as transmutation we create to bring forth anew. Ellen's art most frequently features motifs from astrology, archetypes and tarot, Judaism, and color theory.

Ellen's favorite projects that she's worked on are: book cover illustration, editorial illustration, wedding invitation suites, and EP album artwork. Currently Ellen is working on: her custom tarot deck; an illustrated high holiday machzor.

Ellen also works with a NY LCSW for Equip, a virtual eating disorder treatment program, and has a background in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work. Ellen holds a certification in Family Based Treatment and has specialized training in CBT-E an CBT-AR. Ellen's background also includes education in all psychodynamic theories (e.g. object relations and attachment theory; self psychology; and ego psychology), mindfulness-based CBTs (e.g. ACT; DBT) and trauma-informed mind-body-spirit techniques (e.g. IFS; somatic experiencing; and psychedelic integration).

Ellen was born a Sagittarius sun, Aries moon, and Cancer rising. She has an enneagram tri-type of 4-1-7. Her favorite color is blue.
